The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Autonomous Navigation Engineer (m/f/d) to join our software team and have an important role in advancing autonomous capabilities for unmanned ground vehicles, collaborate with a talented team to shape the future of autonomous robotic solutions in dual-use applications.

To join our team, you should be excited to

Design, implement, and optimise navigation, perception, and planning algorithms for autonomous robotic systems
Collaborate with Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure efficient integration of autonomy features
Develop systems for processing and fusing sensor data, including LiDAR, cameras, radar, and GPS, to enable advanced situational awareness
Perform thorough testing of autonomous systems in both simulation environments and real-world applications to ensure performance, safety, and reliability
Document development processes, algorithms, and system configurations for internal teams and external stakeholders

Your Profile

Technical expertise in programming languages such as C++ and Python, with experience in ROS (Robot Operating System)
Practical experience in path planning, SLAM, and machine learning techniques for robotics
Knowledge in integrating and processing data from LiDAR, radar, GPS, and camera sensors
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems both independently and in team settings
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and Agile development methodologies
Experience with simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo) and an understanding of cybersecurity principles for autonomous systems is a plus
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
Business proficiency in English; and German is a plus
