Principal Technical Program Manager (m/f/d)

Permanent employee, Full-time · München

The Role

As Principal TPM, you will drive one of the most critical projects in European defense tech: turning legacy vehicles into smart, connected, autonomous assets. Our OS combines hardware and software components—including edge computing units, autonomy kits, GPS/localization modules, and sensor payloads—into a unified retrofit system. Your job is to orchestrate this complexity across internal teams, suppliers, and international partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of Mithra OS as a hardware-software platform—from requirements to field deployment

  • Drive timelines, dependencies, and execution across multiple workstreams: embedded computing, autonomy kits, software interfaces, localization modules, and sensor payloads

  • Ensure system-level integration: edge data processing, communications, and compatibility with NATO legacy vehicles

  • Coordinate across hardware, software, production, and business units in Germany, UK, and Ukraine

  • Translate military and field requirements into clear technical deliverables and milestones

  • Manage technical documentation, test plans, compliance, and certification processes

  • Maintain high standards for system quality, integration readiness, and field operability

  • Serve as the primary internal owner of program-level risk management, trade-offs, and prioritization

Your Profile
  • 5+ years in complex tech program/project management, ideally in robotics, defense, aerospace, or embedded systems

  • Strong technical understanding of edge computing, sensors, autonomy kits, and hardware/software integration

  • Proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary hardware/software systems on time and in the field

  • Experience with defense-grade standards, vehicle systems, or EU/NATO modernization programs is a strong plus

  • High attention to detail, structured thinking, and confident decision-making under pressure

  • Fluent in English; German or Ukrainian is a plus

  • Able to align stakeholders, clear roadblocks, and keep teams focused on execution

  • A shaping role in an emerging dual use company
  • Opportunity to work with a highly innovative, international, and dynamic team
  • Room for professional growth and development
  • Participation in the company's success, with access to regular events, knowledge exchange and meetups
