Software Robotics Engineer (m/f/d)

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Software Robotics Engineer (m/f/d) to join our software team and develop unmanned ground vehicles for governmental and civilian applications. In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on maintaining, testing, and optimizing software for robotic systems to ensure consistent performance and reliability. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various innovative projects.

  • Maintain, test, and optimize software for robotic systems to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
  • Conduct system validation and rigorous testing through simulations and real-world scenarios.
  • Provide technical support and perform troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robotics systems meet operational and integration requirements.
  • Document software maintenance processes, configurations, and test results for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enhance system reliability through continuous monitoring and iterative improvements.
  • Implement Linux-based system administration tasks including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with hardware teams to integrate industrial communication protocols and hardware interfaces.

Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with robotic or automation systems, with a focus on software testing and maintenance.
  • Extensive experience with Linux, including system administration, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and hardware interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, serial).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English is a must; German is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in Ukraine is required.
