The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead the development of our cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for autonomous technologies. This critical role  will be pivotal in shaping the security architecture and controls for our next-generation autonomous systems.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise from the automotive, mobility, or related high integrity industries, with a proven track record of delivering cybersecurity frameworks for autonomous, safety critical platforms.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and develop the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for autonomous systems, aligning with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary security lead for autonomy initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering, software and safety teams.
  • Establish security by design principles throughout the product lifecycle – from concept, architecture, and design through to deployment and maintenance.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to perform risk assessments, threat modelling, and security testing (e.g., penetration testing, vulnerability scanning).
  • Develop and maintain secure coding practices, secure communication protocols, and over-the-air update mechanisms for autonomous platforms.
  • Stay up to date with evolving threats, technologies, and regulatory standards 
  • Engage with external partners, suppliers, and regulators to ensure end to end cybersecurity compliance across the autonomy ecosystem.
Your Profile
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Prior experience in the automotive, aerospace, defence OR robotics, within autonomy programs.
  • Strong understanding of embedded system security, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), CAN/Ethernet protocols, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing or implementing cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, or similar.
  • Deep knowledge of threat modelling methodologies, such as STRIDE or DREAD.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and strategic decisions at the executive level.
