The Role

Your Mission
As a (Senior) Cyber Security System Engineer (m/f/d), you will be part of the Safety & Mission Assurance team and design and implement security concepts that seamlessly integrate with our RAMS-driven system frameworks. You will work closely with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Safety Engineering to ensure that cyber protection, functional safety, and system performance go hand in hand.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the Cyber Security Architecture for ARX UGV systems.
Conduct Threat and Risk Analyses (TARA) according to IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, and relevant defense standards including NATO STANAG 4774/4778, NATO FMN Cybersecurity Profiles, AEP-4754, MIL-STD-461, and DEF STAN frameworks.
Collaborate closely with the Security department, connecting product-level OT/IT processes with information, physical, and IT security domains under the NATO Security Policy Framework.
Define security requirements, traceability, and verification methods within the system V-model.
Support secure-by-design development and evaluate hardware/software interfaces for vulnerabilities.
Work with the Safety & Mission Assurance function to ensure coherent treatment of system risks (Safety + Security = Integrated Assurance).
Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for dual-use and military accreditation (e.g., EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), NIS-2 Directive, NATO AEP-4754, MIL-STD-882E).
Coordinate penetration testing, supplier assessments, and validation activities.
Contribute to the development of internal cybersecurity standards, processes, and governance.

Your Profile

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in embedded or system-level cybersecurity, ideally within defense, robotics, automotive, or aerospace.
Solid understanding of IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, and general information security management (ISO 27001).
Experience in risk analysis, requirements engineering, and system design.
Hands-on mindset with the ability to translate standards into pragmatic engineering solutions.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, systems-thinking approach.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead the development of our cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for autonomous technologies. This critical role will be pivotal in shaping the security architecture and controls for our next-generation autonomous systems.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise from the automotive, mobility, or related high integrity industries, with a proven track record of delivering cybersecurity frameworks for autonomous, safety critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and develop the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for autonomous systems, aligning with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary security lead for autonomy initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering, software and safety teams.
Establish security by design principles throughout the product lifecycle – from concept, architecture, and design through to deployment and maintenance.
Work alongside cross-functional teams to perform risk assessments, threat modelling, and security testing (e.g., penetration testing, vulnerability scanning).
Develop and maintain secure coding practices, secure communication protocols, and over-the-air update mechanisms for autonomous platforms.
Stay up to date with evolving threats, technologies, and regulatory standards
Engage with external partners, suppliers, and regulators to ensure end to end cybersecurity compliance across the autonomy ecosystem.

Das solltest du mitbringen

7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
Prior experience in the automotive, aerospace, defence OR robotics, within autonomy programs.
Strong understanding of embedded system security, including real-time operating systems (RTOS), CAN/Ethernet protocols, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
Demonstrated experience in developing or implementing cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, or similar.
Deep knowledge of threat modelling methodologies, such as STRIDE or DREAD.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and strategic decisions at the executive level.
