- Lead and grow the Safety Engineering & Mission Assurance function within ARX.
- Define, implement, and maintain the Safety Case and Mission Assurance Plan for all UGV programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as IEC 61508, EN ISO 13849, ISO 26262, NATO AEP-4754, MIL-STD-882E, and other relevant NATO safety requirements.
- Ensure alignment with the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 as a key framework for ARX’s dual-use compliance landscape.
- Oversee Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA).
- Establish and drive a RAMS-based engineering approach (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) to ensure mission assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Guide design teams through Safety-by-Design principles and risk-based decision-making.
- Develop and maintain Mission Assurance metrics, risk registers, and verification / validation plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external safety audits and certification activities.
- Mentor engineers to strengthen ARX’s safety culture, standards knowledge, and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align safety and mission assurance strategy with program objectives and delivery timelines.
